Operation Iraqi Freedom U.S. Deaths Confirmed By The DoD as of today are 3947 Brave Americans have paid the ultimate cost of freedom in a war that seems to have no end in sight. Also 307 additional casualties from our allies for a total of 4254 brave men and women. These total don't include 753 coalition deaths -- 478 Americans killed in Afghanistan U.S.-led Operation Enduring Freedom. Slowly but surely they are bleeding us.
