New Coke Bottle = Less Plastic

I read in the USA today where Coca-Cola launched a 20-ounce bottle for its colas that uses 5% less plastic. The bottle, which has ridges to aid gripping was introduced because of the growing scrutiny for plastic use and the fact that landfills are full of plastic bottles. Over a 4 day period I visited 3 metroparks in the Toledo Ohio area and walking the trails I noticed plastic bottles anywhere water flowed. So anything that can be done to reduce the amount of plastic in our environment is a good thing.
